Trouble in Toyland- Hazardous toys are still sold in stores across the country, according to the 21st annual toy safety survey released today by U.S. PIRG. The 21st annual U.S. PIRG Trouble in Toyland report offers safety guidelines for purchasing toys for small children and provides examples of toys currently on store shelves that pose potential safety hazards.

The Wealth Primary: The Role of Big Money in the 2006 Congressional Primaries- Despite the recent corruption scandals in Washington DC, the most significant problem with money in politics is that large contributions, which only a fraction of the American public can afford to make, unduly influence who runs for office and who wins elections in the United States. This U.S. PIRG report analysis of Federal Election Commission (FEC) campaign finance data for the 2006 primary elections shows that money played a key role in determining election outcomes and that most campaign contributions came from a small number of large donors.
